As promised, here are some pictures of what the students have made so far...
Lots of zip purses - I think everyone was relieved to finish these and I think a few of them were going to be presents for Mothers day which is really lovely. We also got a bit carried away with button bobbles, clips and brooches - here are just a few...
I took Robina's embroidered buttons (see previous post) to show the class who were very impressed and some even had a go at embroidering their own. It is the first time I have worked with a school class. I am really lucky to have a class of all girls who are into pink and hair clips!
They have done a great job of getting their motifs in the middle and put together some lovely combinations for clips that I wouldn't have thought of...
I love these purple ones and also these three, made by three friends but I think that they look great as a set...
And these I love - this girl has some gorgeous floral fabric her Nan gave her...
This week bags. Wish us all luck!

What crafty kids! Kudos for nurturing them into future paths of fun & creativity!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those girls have a great teacher to be making all those lovely clips and sweet purses. I wish my daughters were in your class so I could get a zip purse on Mother's Day! I love your new buttons also. Of course, I am partial to the chicken one!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, and sadly, I am not able to wear any of those vintage shoes. I am about 9 inches taller than my great aunt, so I don't even think I could stick my little toe into one of her shoes!!!

Hi Kate,
ReplyDeleteYour workshop makes are looking wonderful, what age group are you teaching? I think the kids in my class would find the zips and clips a bit difficult, but the bags went down well!
Good luck! x
Kate these look great. I think you are doing an amazing job. I bet the kids love you.
ReplyDeletePlease can you email me your address, you swap parcel is nearly ready.
